  • ADAM TYSON

    Pastor Adam was born and raised in a Christian home in Georgia. After attending medical school he became a physician’s assistant and worked in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in Savannah for four years. While serving in his local church he felt an overwhelming desire to pursue the glory of God through theological training and the opportunity to serve the Lord in full time ministry. Adam had the privilege of attending The Master’s Seminary for both a M.Div. (2005) and a D.Min. (2013). Adam served as an associate pastor of student ministries and outreach at Lakeside Bible Church in Montgomery, Texas for seven and a half years. Adam has a passion for expository preaching, biblical counseling, world-wide missions, and for reaching the community of Santa Clarita with the Gospel! Adam has been married to his lovely wife, Lisa, since 2004 and they have been blessed with five children: Anna, Nate, Micaiah, Hudson, and Zoe.

  • STEVE SEVERANCE

    Pastor Steve came to Placerita Bible Church in 2001. He was saved in 1971 and has been involved over the years as a deacon, youth leader, teacher, and discipler in churches in Ohio, Michigan, New York, and California. He holds a bachelors degree in economics from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Steve and his wife Judy have been happily married since June 1963 and have four grown, married children: Steve, Scott, Mark, & Julie, and 16 grandchildren.

  • carolyn mcguire

    Carolyn grew up in the Midwest as the daughter of an evangelical pastor. As a teen she developed a strong desire to learn how God’s Word could help people with their life problems. After High School she attended Moody Bible Institute where she met her husband, Joe. They were married in 1966, and they have four grown children who have given them 12 precious grandchildren. When her youngest daughter went to college, Carolyn also attended the Master’s College where she earned her Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling. In 2005, she received her certification as a biblical Counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. Carolyn has been faithfully serving the Lord through counseling women at both Placerita Bible Church and Grace Community Church for the past twenty-four years. God has given her a heart of compassion for women who are hurting and she loves nothing more than to be able to point them to God’s answers in His Word.

  • Charlie mudd

    Charlie has been actively involved in ministry as a biblical counselor for fourteen years. He is an ACBC-Certified biblical counselor, and holds the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling degree from The Masters College. His focus of ministry is marriage and family counseling, with emphases in conflict resolution, men’s issues, discipleship and parent-child relationships. Charlie is a commercial real estate appraiser by profession. Charlie and his wife Cindy were married in 1972 and have been blessed with one daughter and three grandchildren. Charlie enjoys fishing and hiking in the Sierras.

  • cindy mudd

    Cindy had been a lay biblical counselor for the past fifteen years and is a certified counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. While Cindy's counseling focus at Placerita Bible Church is primarily women's issues, she also team counsels with her husband, Charlie, an ACBC certified biblical counselor at PBC. Cindy's extensive experience counseling women of all ages has uniquely qualified her to deal with a wide range of women's counseling issues, including general relationship issues, pre-marriage counseling, marriage and family issues, change of life issues, and decision making at life crisis points. Cindy has been married to her husband, Charlie for 43 years. They have one daughter, Jenny, who with her husband, Doug, have given Charlie and Cindy three beautiful grandchildren. In addition to their biblical counseling ministry at PBC, Cindy and Charlie serve together as part of the leadership team in their small group. She is a devoted grandma, loves giving tea parties, cooking, sewing, and reading. Cindy's favorite Bible verse is Galatians 2:20.

  • Lisa Quirin

    Lisa Quirin is an ACBC Certified Biblical Counselor who seeks to serve hurting souls through the encouragement of the Word of God and the hope found in Jesus Christ and the Gospel of Salvation.  Lisa was not raised in a Christian home but was saved at age 23, as a single mother of two young children. She met her husband, Scott, a few years later and they have been joyfully married since 1998. Together they raised Sarah and Jude and have since added their sons Elijah and Daniel. They hope to add on to their ever growing family as they continue to serve as foster parents. They also have been blessed with one grandchild, Audrey.

  • edward wong

    Ed was born and raised in Hong Kong and came to the United States in 1978. God called him into the field of medicine to help those who suffer physical sickness. Ed has been practicing medicine since 1993. In the same way, God has called him to become a Biblical counselor to help those who are spiritually weak. Similarly, to medicine, the Bible is the cure for any spiritual weakness and it strengthens the weary. Ed is also certified as a biblical counselor by the Association of Biblical Counselors. 

  • peter leDuc

    Peter had the privilege of being born and raised in a Christian home in New Hampshire. He came to Christ at a young age, was baptized at 13, and has been actively serving in the local church ever since. Through various church conflicts and a church planting experience, God placed on him a strong desire to pursue seminary training in preparation for pastoral ministry back home in post Christian New England. Peter holds a bachelors degree in religion from Liberty University and is currently enrolled in the M. Div. program at the The Masters Seminary. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Laura for 7 years and the Lord has blessed them with three children: Micah, Austin, and Kinley. He and his family moved to Santa Clarita in the Summer of of 2014 and have enjoyed being members of Placerita Bible Church since then. Peter is especially excited about reaching young people with a more glorious and satisfying view of God when truths they have grown up with have grown dull, familiar, and impractical. Once of his favorite verses is 2 Chronicles 16:9, "For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth, that He may strongly support those whose heart is fully His."

  • Stuart Scott

    Stuart is a professor of Biblical Counseling at The Master's University, in Santa Clarita, CA; Director of Membership Services for the Association of Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and Associate Professor of Biblical Counseling at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. His primary responsibility is teaching in the graduate program of the biblical counseling at The Master's University. Scott has over thirty-five years of experience in counseling and pastoral ministry. He is also busy as a Fellow with the ACBC. Stuart is an excellent author and some of his well-known writings include, "The Exemplary Husband" and pamphlets titled, "From Pride to Humility" and "Anger, Anxiety and Fear." He is married to his wife Zondra and they have two grown children and two grandchildren.

  • Zondra scott

    Zondra Scott holds a Bible degree from Columbia Bible College.  She has taught in Christian and public schools as well as college level.  She has also been a respiratory therapist.  Zondra is the mother of two grown children, Christa and Marc, and grandmother to River and Ivy.  She served alongside her husband as he pastored for more than 18 years.  During that time, Zondra had many opportunities to counsel and disciple women one-on-one, teach, speak to women's groups, and minister in music.  She now spends most of her ministry time serving PBC and assisting her husband, Stuart, who is in ministry at The Master's University, and is also the Membership Director for ACBC.  As an ACBC Certified Biblical Counselor, Zondra has a particular passion to help herself and other women think more biblically, deal with with the past God's way, and abide in Christ for great faith, joy, and service, all for the glory of God.

  • Tim Drumm

    Tim grew up in Texas where the Lord saved him while in high school and gave him a passion to preach and serve in the church. During his senior year of high school he was elected the Chaplain of Fellowship for Christian Athletes where he began preaching at age 18. He began serving in the youth ministry at Lakeside Bible Church in Montgomery, TX where he later worked as the office manager, Conference Coordinator and Youth Ministry Intern. Tim attended The College of Biblical Studies in Houston and earned a Bachelor of Science in Christian Leadership in 2011. After several years of praying, the Lord provided him him the privilege of attending The Master's Seminary where he is currently working towards earning an M. Div. Tim has been blessed to be married to his wife Katie, since 2007, and they have three children: Luke, Elizabeth and Phoebe.

  • Michael Seehusen

    Michael is Manager of International Relations at Joni and Friends, Agoura Hills, CA and is currently preparing to become a missionary to Fiji to train pastors and church leaders in biblical counseling. He received his M. Div. from The Master's Seminary and is currently in process to become an ACBC certified biblical counselor. Michael is married to his wife Jordan and they have one son, Taj.
