The Gospel begins with God, just like the the Bible begins with God in Genesis 1:1.
But even before creation, God has always been; He is eternal (Psalm 90:4, 2 Peter 3:8, Rev. 1:8).
Unlike the secular thinking that says the universe is the product of evolution, the Bible teaches that God is Creator, which means He owns, rules, and has authority over all things, including our lives.
This God who created the universe also created mankind with the sole purpose of loving Him,
worshiping Him, and enjoying Him forever.
Yes, God created us to have endless fellowship with Himself and enjoyment of Himself!
Since God desires that we have fellowship with Him, He has revealed Himself to us through His Word.
God has revealed Himself as a loving God (John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Romans 8:37-39);
He has revealed Himself as absolutely perfect and holy (Isaiah 6:3).
Because God is perfect and holy, He requires us to be perfect and holy as well (Matt. 5:48, 1 Peter 1:16).
