Small Group Bible studies are intended as a platform for Biblical fellowship to take place.
It is a place where you will be engaging in community in a smaller setting and therefore will have many opportunities to
build deep relationships as you discuss the sermon, pray for one another, and enjoy fellowship.
Shepherding
Small group leaders, under the leadership of the elders, are primarily responsible for knowing, feeding, and leading their small group. This includes teaching, counseling, and meeting physical needs.
Discipleship
Practicing the "one-anothers" of Scripture while discovering and developing individual spiritual gifts for service within the group, the church, and evangelizing our neighbors and community.
Corporate Prayer
Missionary Prayer & Care
Each small group is assigned a missionary family that PBC supports financially. We want our people to be personally invested in missions and specifically with our missionaries. Each small group has the privilege of encouraging, praying for, and helping meet the physical needs of the group's missionaries.
The Goal
The goal of the small group ministry is that every member of the church would be a part of a small group and that participation in the group will grow the individual's maturity in Christ, provide accountability to spur that growth, and develop believers to put into practice in the home, church, and workplace what they have learned from the pulpit and equipping classes.
