Overview
DEFINITION
Biblical Counseling is discipleship - the process through which the Bible, God's inerrant and sufficient Word, is taught to people who are struggling with sin and/or suffering so they may be changed and transformed to be like Jesus Christ for the purpose of pleasing and glorifying God (Rom. 15:14; 1 Thess. 5:12).
MISSION
The Placerita Biblical Counseling Center exists to glorify God by helping individuals and families understand their need for and dependence on Jesus Christ as Savior and LORD, and to teach them from the Bible how to live in a way that pleases God (2 Cor. 5:9).
We are committed to the positions that the Bible provides the only authoritative, inerrant, and sufficient guide for what we are to believe and how we are to live (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:3), and that believers work out their salvation with fear and trembling as God works in them to will and to work for His good pleasure (Phil. 2:12b-13). We seek to apply biblical truth to a person's heart with care and compassion (1 Cor. 1-2; Heb. 4:12). We depend on the Holy Spirit to produce heart change that results in transformed lives and relationships, and gives hope (Rom. 15:4).
The Placerita Biblical Counseling Center (PBCC) is a ministry of Placerita Bible Church (PBC) and agrees fully with the PBC Doctrinal Statement.
